Winter North Dakota Elopement: John + Megan Welk
Megan + John reached out to me just a short while before their wedding. 2020 was a wild year, and their wedding plans adapted with the time. Talking to them through emails and phone calls, you could tell that no matter what their wedding looked like they were just thrilled to marry one another. Spending the day documenting their quiet intimate wedding, I felt incredibly lucky to be in the presence of their love.
It felt like I was hanging out with old friends. From documenting their vows, to chatting with their family, I think my favorite part is when I asked if they’d like a first dance together as husband and wife. Playing a love song off of my portable speaker, I stood from afar taking photos as Megan + John danced and swayed happily. A few short hours, packed with so much love and joy.
